RainShine House - LEED Platinum Level certification 

This award winning garden for this modern home is designed with all native plantings and sustainable solutions regarding drainage, irrigation, maintenance, and material selection for the hardscape. A few of the sustainable solutions we came up with were to use materials found on site and repurpose them.  We took the discarded wood from the house construction and chipped it up for mulch around the large Deodora Cedar.  The existing concrete driveway was broken up into medium size pieces and used to create the dry creek on site as well as for the ground cover under the front porch and the back deck.  The native plantings were chosen to attract insects/caterpillars/moths which in turn attracts wildlife and creates a diverse and healthy ecosystem.
